I’m thankful for the Fort Osage School District and the opportunity to work with such dedicated and caring people. Eight years ago I interviewed and accepted the position of high school principal. It didn’t take long for me to determine that working at Fort was the best career decision of my life. The district is filled with educators who have a passion for students and their success. Today I’m still blessed to be a member of the Fort Family. I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to serve as the Superintendent. I’m excited to work cooperatively with each person to continue to do great things for the students of our district. Thank you for the countless things you do on a daily basis to make our school the special place we call Fort.
Fort Osage is excited to receive the 'Distinction in Performance' designation by scoring 92.1% of the points possible on the annual performance report. Being designated as a 'Distinction in Performance' district is made possible by the commitment, focus, determination, and hard work of the staff, students, and parents in the entire school district. Thank you for your daily efforts to make Fort Osage a special place to educate students!
Below is the progress Fort Osage has made under the MSIP 5 guidelines.
Cler-Mont Elementary was buzzing with students, staff, parents, community members, alumni and former staff members as they celebrated the school's 50th anniversary on November 15th. It was nice to see everyone reminiscing about their time spent together at Cler-Mont. Congratulations to Cler-Mont for 50 years of effectively educating students and for hosting such a successful event!
The high school musical production, Wizard of Oz, was a home run. The set design, music, cast, and crew were all amazing. The amount of work that went into preparing for the show was impressive. Congratulations to the theater, vocal and instrumental music departments for a job well done. It was an enjoyable evening by all who had the opportunity to attend one of the shows.
The past few weeks faculty from each school in the district have presented their school improvement plans (SIP) to central office team members. The work occurring in our district to continue student growth is impressive. I am enthusiastic about the professional development, collaboration and effective instruction occurring in our district. Thank you for your continued effort, motivation and focus to educate the students of Fort Osage 'just a little bit better'.
