I am truly grateful for your ongoing work and dedication to help our students be successful. As a small gesture of appreciation, we are celebrating all staff the week of November 8 by doing the following. Monday, November 8 - Friday, November 12: Jeans Days Wednesday, November 10: Cinnamon Rolls Provided for Breakfast Thursday, November 11: Baked Potato and Salad Provided for Lunch Friday, November 12: In an effort to allow for a much deserved extended weekend, staff who are scheduled to work will only report for a portion of the day. This is a non-student attendance day. For staff engaged in professional development, the schedule will be adjusted to focus on the most crucial PD from 7:30 am - 11:30 am. Classified staff will report at their normal scheduled time, but leave after four hours. Employees scheduled to work, will be paid for their regularly scheduled hours. Sick/personal/vacation days will be calculated as a full day of leave. More information will be provided next week regarding the details of each day. After much work and preparation, the student led coffee shop is officially opening on Monday, November 1. I am thrilled about this real-world learning opportunity for students, as well as the positive impact on the community. A special thank you to the staff and the students in the eStudies and Culinary Arts programs for their work on this endeavor. Please view their website here.
